Dare to hope

Sudah seminggu berlalu..

Masih jelas dalam ulang tayang kotak minda perihal seorang lelaki muda. Ianya kisah hari Jumaat yang lalu. Lebih spesifik, ianya gambaran kefahaman yang sahih tentang isi cetak al-Quran al-Kareem.

Dia bukan pemuda Melayu yang biasa saya kenali. Malahan, susur galur keturunannya bernoktahkan singh. Saya mengenali pemuda ini lewat Ramadhan yang lalu. Mengucap syahadah tika Ramadhan mula menjenguk, awal 6 hari. Ada pemandangan yang begitu menarik hati saya.

Tatkala azan panggilan orang mukmin berkemundang di hari Jumaat, tikamana orang-orang yang kulitnya sama warna dengan saya masih mampu berlenggang kangkong, malah ada yang masih terselit puntung di bibirnya, beliau saya lihat sungguh istimewa. Beliau berlari !!

Dan beliau berlari dengan sesungguhnya!

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Saya sempat menegurnya Rabu yang lalu. Tika kami selisih dan bersama mengayun langkah ke Majlis Jamuan Raya. Majlis yang sepatutnya bermula jam 12 akhirnya hanya bermula jam 1250.

Al maklum lah, saudara lebih faham dari saya. Justeru, kiranya anda orang yang berada di atas dalam mana-mana organisasi, maka tugas lebih berat. Contoh perlu ditunjuk dalam alam realitas. Sepanjang menunggu kami berborak rancak. Saya cuba mengorek rahsia.

“Brother, I just wondering lah… Why people don’t want come to masjid. Masjid besar, luas.. and tenang.. Bukankah, when azan kita kena stop semua kerja kita dan pergi ke masjid?”

Saya terkedu.

“Brother, I dare to hope and keep hoping that a born Muslim like me would have the level of understanding such as yours…”

Sejurus majlis bermula, kami cepat-cepat mengambil makanan. Dzuhur mengintai.

“Brother, I see you in masjid cay”

“Err..”

Saya melihat dia hanya mengambil 5 cucuk sate dan terus bergegas ke masjid. Saya masih ada beberapa potong nasi impit dan seketul ayam untuk dihabiskan. Ah, silap sendiri. Semangat dan kefahaman yang harus dicemburui. Saya melajukan kunyahan.

Saya mendo’akan agar saudara baru saya ini istiqamah. Memeluk Islam setelah mengkaji dalam dan kini berusaha memahamkan ahli keluarganya. Saya jujurnya berharap saya dan para pembaca dapat mencontohi beliau. Baru belajar tidak menjadikan beliau kurang faham dari orang yang sudah separuh abad membawa IC bercopkan Islam. Kesungguhan menterjemahkan isi Quran itu yang akhirnya menentukan timbangan akhirat kita.

Hari itu. Ianya berakhir dengan berduyun manusia sawo matang berbaris merebut nikmat sate dan lontong sedangkan rahmat Allah hanya  mampu menggiurkan satu saff manusia. Itupun boleh jadi cukup kiraan jari tangan dan kaki barangkali.  Namun, saya masih berharap dan akan terus berharap.

INSURANCE CLAIM VOID...  PLEASE READ STORY. BEWARE!!!*

Be careful, if you have the habit of sending your car for car wash or similar
matter (car jockey etc) while in shopping complex. Two weeks ago my nephew sent his Toyota Harrier for car wash in the car park of Bangsar Shopping Complex while he had an appointment there. He handed the car keys to the car wash people and left the car park for his appointment.

After the appointment he went to collect his car, and the car wash people
told him that his car had been collected. How CAN??? After a prolonged
argument without any results, he had no choice, but to make a police
report... and follow up by insurance claim. Insurance company rejected his claim because the reason is the car was not stolen, the point of contention was why did he hand over the car keys to someone unknown, and why did he not wait there till the car washing was finished...? ??

So, be careful next time. If you really need to send your car for car wash,
better stay there and wait for your car, if not, this may happen to you...
ALWAYS GET AN OFFICIAL RECEIPT LIKE YOU DO WHEN YOU SENT YOUR CAR FOR SERVICING AT HONDA, PROTON, TOYOTA... DON'T PLAY THE FOOL.
